Baidu Tests Apollo Go Robotaxis in London via Lyft and Uber
Baidu is testing Apollo Go autonomous vehicles in London's Brent borough with human safety operators, through partnerships with Lyft (including its Freenow subsidiary) and separately with Uber. This non-exclusive approach contrasts with the exclusivity norm Waymo and others follow in US markets. Public rides are targeted for 2027, pending approval from TfL and CCAV. Apollo Go delivered 3.2 million driverless rides globally in Q1 2026, mostly in China.
