CRL media centre shows August 2026 opening date councillors say they can't confirm

Auckland councillors say they cannot give the public a City Rail Link opening date, even though the NZ$5.5 billion project's media centre lists a passenger opening of Sunday 2 August 2026. Barry Potter told councillors not to answer opening-date questions. Councillor Richard Hills said people were "getting frustrated" and asked if at least the month could be announced.
