CRL media centre lists 2 August opening date councillors were never told

Auckland councillors say they cannot give the public a City Rail Link opening date, despite the NZ$5.5 billion project's own media centre listing a passenger opening of Sunday 2 August 2026. Barry Potter told councillors they could not answer opening-date questions. Councillor Richard Hills said people were "getting frustrated" and asked if at least the month could be announced.
