ACT promises to more than double Pharmac's share of health spending by 2033

ACT leader David Seymour wants Pharmac's budget lifted from 4.9 percent of total health spend to 12 percent by 2033 — between $5.4 billion and $6.1 billion by 2033/34. Pharmac is the government agency that buys medicines in bulk. Seymour said other health areas would miss out, but nothing existing would be cut.
