ACT wants to more than double the medicines budget by 2033

ACT leader David Seymour wants Pharmac — the agency that buys medicines for New Zealanders — to get a much bigger slice of health funding: up from about 5 percent to 12 percent by 2033. That would mean $5.4 billion to $6.1 billion a year. Seymour said other health areas would miss out, but nothing existing would be cut.
