Former FDA Chief Flags Taylor Farms' White House Recall-Delay Appeal as Irregular

Former FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb told CBS's Face the Nation (July 26) that Taylor Farms asking the Trump White House to delay a cyclospora recall was "not standard operating procedure." Gottlieb, who managed E. coli outbreaks in leafy greens, said the White House never contacted him beyond briefing requests. The Wall Street Journal first reported the call July 24.
