Ex-FDA Chief: Taylor Farms' Call to White House About Recall Was Unusual

Former FDA chief Scott Gottlieb said on CBS (July 26) that Taylor Farms asking the Trump White House to delay a food-safety recall was "not standard operating procedure." Cyclospora is a parasite that causes intestinal illness. Gottlieb, who handled past outbreaks, said the White House never contacted him about recalls.
