Burnham opens "No 10 North" Manchester office in first week as PM

Andy Burnham has begun using a part-time Manchester office alongside Downing Street in his first week as prime minister, the BBC and PBS NewsHour reported. The base, branded "No 10 North," has no modern precedent. Burnham addressed staff there on 24 July 2026, a government readout said. Laura Kuenssberg's first PM interview airs on BBC News on Sunday.
