Andy Burnham has begun using a part-time Manchester office alongside 10 Downing Street during his first week as prime minister, the BBC and PBS NewsHour reported. The base, branded "No 10 North," has no precedent in modern British government. Burnham formally addressed staff there on 24 July 2026, according to a government readout.
