Burnham opens 'No 10 North' base in Manchester

The BBC reported that Prime Minister Andy Burnham has begun working from a Manchester base dubbed "No 10 North". Up to 300 civil servants are expected there by next year, with Education Secretary Lucy Powell and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Louise Haigh attending regularly. Downing Street said costs fall within existing Cabinet Office budgets, with no additional taxpayer expense.
