Ed Husic's push for Labor to recognise ICJ and UN genocide findings against Israel died at the party's Adelaide conference on 25 July 2026. The Maritime Union pulled its backing that morning, leaving Husic without a seconder — the delegate needed to bring a motion to a vote.
