Midjourney buys Co-Star, brings founder Guler aboard as CDO to build mobile apps

Midjourney acquired astrology app Co-Star on July 24, 2026 — its first acquisition ever. Founder Banu Guler joins as chief design officer to lead the company's first native mobile apps, including an image-generation app. Midjourney today runs only through Discord and the web. Terms were undisclosed; Co-Star continues independently.
