Midjourney acquires Co-Star, taps founder Banu Guler as CDO to build first native mobile apps

Midjourney acquired astrology app Co-Star in its first-ever acquisition, announced July 24, 2026. Co-Star founder Banu Guler becomes Midjourney's chief design officer and will lead development of the company's first native mobile apps, including an image-generation app. Midjourney currently operates only through Discord and the web. Terms were undisclosed; Co-Star will continue running independently.
