Universal Lands Film Rights to Ten Atari Classics

Universal Pictures has acquired film adaptation rights to ten Atari game properties, including Asteroids, Pong, Breakout, Centipede, Missile Command, Adventure, Berzerk, Crystal Castles, Millipede, and Yars' Revenge. A spec screenplay by Matt Reilly and Carl Hampe is already in hand; Guymon Casady of Entertainment 360 will produce. Atari CEO Wade Rosen confirmed the deal to Deadline. No production timeline yet.
