Universal Acquires Film Rights to 10 Atari Game Properties

Universal Pictures has acquired film adaptation rights to ten Atari game properties — Asteroids, Pong, Breakout, Centipede, Missile Command, Adventure, Berzerk, Crystal Castles, Millipede, and Yars' Revenge. A spec screenplay by Matt Reilly and Carl Hampe is already purchased; Guymon Casady of Entertainment 360 is attached to produce. Atari CEO Wade Rosen confirmed the partnership to Deadline. No production timeline has been announced.
