Major Danish Study Links Traffic Noise to Parkinson's Risk

An 18-year study of 3.1 million Danes, published in JAMA Neurology, links long-term road traffic noise to higher Parkinson's disease risk. Each 11.5 dB increase at the most exposed home wall raised risk by 3%. External experts note the design cannot prove causation. The WHO already ranks traffic noise as Europe's second-largest environmental health risk after air pollution.
