Houthis Hit Saudi Oil Tankers, Red Sea Blockade Goes Live
Houthi forces struck Saudi oil tankers ENCELA and LAYLIA near Hodeidah on 22 July 2026 with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, spokesperson Yahya Saree said. The UKMTO, which monitors maritime security, confirmed a tanker was hit. The attack enforced a blockade declared 20 July after Yemen's government bombed Houthi-held Sanaa Airport. Saudi Arabia has not commented. Two more Saudi crude tankers turned back in the Red Sea.
