Twenty Children Killed in Uganda School Bus Crash

Twenty schoolchildren and one adult died when a bus from King David Junior School Ndejje crashed in Kapchorwa district on July 16, 2026, police said. The bus was returning to Kampala from a Sipi Falls field trip. Police blame driver error — the vehicle struck a large stone. Over 28 injured children remain hospitalized, nine critically.
