Police Association head questions need for move-on orders bill

Police Association President Steve Watt has questioned the need for the Summary Offences (Move-on Orders) Amendment Bill, saying officers are being asked to handle complex social issues beyond their remit. MPs on the Justice Committee are hearing public submissions on the bill, which would let police order rough sleepers and 14-year-olds behaving disorderly to move on.
