Fortnite Adds AI-Driven Conversational NPCs for Creators

On July 30, 2025, Fortnite creators can publish islands where players speak in real time with AI-powered NPCs. Google's Gemini generates character responses. 36 pre-built personas, including Peely and Agent Jonesy, are available. The feature exits its Experimental phase that date. Voice models were trained on performances commissioned from professional actors under AI-specific consent agreements.
