Fortnite Characters Will Talk Back to Players Starting July 30

On July 30, 2025, Fortnite creators can publish game worlds where players hold live voice conversations with AI-powered characters. Google's Gemini technology generates what the characters say. 36 ready-made characters are available, including Peely and Agent Jonesy. The feature leaves its testing phase that day. Voice models were trained on performances from professional actors who agreed to AI use.
