Google AI Mode Now Links to Third-Party Apps for Task Execution

Google announced July 16, 2026 that AI Mode in Search can connect to Instacart, Canva, and YouTube, enabling authenticated task execution — adding groceries to a cart, surfacing design templates, saving playlists — directly from search queries. The US rollout builds on Gemini app integrations from Google I/O 2026. More partners are planned.
