Google Search Can Now Talk to Other Apps to Do Things for You

Google announced July 16, 2026 that AI Mode in Search can connect to Instacart, Canva, and YouTube. After logging in, you can add groceries to a cart, pull up design templates, or save playlists directly from a search. The US rollout builds on earlier Google I/O 2026 integrations. More partners are coming.
