Google AI Mode Now Connects to Third-Party Apps for Task Execution in Search

Google announced on July 16, 2026 that AI Mode in Search can now link to Instacart, Canva, and YouTube, enabling authenticated task execution — adding groceries to a cart, surfacing design templates, saving playlists — directly from search queries. The US rollout builds on Gemini app integrations from Google I/O 2026. Google plans to add more partners.
