NTSB: Tesla Driver Overrode Autopilot Before Fatal Texas Crash

NTSB's preliminary report confirms a Tesla Model 3 driver pressed the accelerator fully, disengaging Full Self-Driving before striking a Katy, Texas home at over 70 mph in a 30 mph zone, killing 76-year-old Martha Avila. Driver Michael Butler, 44, faces manslaughter charges. NHTSA is also investigating. Butler told hospital staff he engaged FSD then passed out.
