NTSB: Tesla Driver Manually Overrode FSD Before Fatal 70 mph Katy Crash

NTSB's preliminary report confirms the driver of a Tesla Model 3 pressed the accelerator to 100 percent, disengaging Full Self-Driving before the vehicle struck a Katy, Texas home at over 70 mph in a 30 mph zone, killing 76-year-old Martha Avila. Driver Michael Butler, 44, faces manslaughter charges. NHTSA is also investigating. Butler told hospital staff he engaged FSD then passed out.
