Judge plans to appoint special master over East Potomac golf course tree-cutting

District Judge Ana Reyes intends to appoint former DC US attorney Jessie Liu as a special master, an outside fact-finder. Liu would examine whether Reyes was deliberately misled about changes to the East Potomac golf course, including whether officials were truthful about cutting hundreds of trees in early October. Both sides have until Friday, 13 November, to respond in writing.
