1Password adds Claude integration with zero-exposure credential injection

1Password launched a browser integration on July 16, 2026, letting Claude authenticate on a user's behalf. Credentials are injected through a channel the AI model cannot inspect, so plaintext passwords and MFA codes stay hidden. Each task requires biometric approval, and 1Password scans the page after autofill before returning control. Mac-only at launch.
