Volunteer Firefighter Jailed Over Fontainebleau Forest Fire

An 18-year-old volunteer firefighter was jailed south of Paris on suspicion of igniting the Fontainebleau blaze, which scorched 10% of a UNESCO-listed forest. He confessed to using a lighter and petrol, then retracted. A second 18-year-old faces investigation; four others remain in custody. Authorities contained the fire on July 15.
