Teen Firefighter Held in Paris-Area Forest Fire

An 18-year-old volunteer firefighter was jailed near Paris, suspected of starting a fire that burned one-tenth of Fontainebleau — a protected forest recognized by UNESCO for its global importance. He admitted lighting twigs with petrol, then took it back. Another teen is under investigation; four others are held. The fire was controlled by July 15.
