Ghana Mandates Biometric ID Verification, Bans Photocopies

Ghana now requires businesses to verify the Ghana Card through a biometric mobile app, banning visual inspection and photocopies. NIA chief Wisdom Yayra Koku Deku called such practices illegal for transactions. Non-compliant organizations face fines up to 24,000 cedis (~$2,100).
