Deutsche Telekom CEO Puts SpaceX's Mobile Entry Bill at $200 Billion

Deutsche Telekom CEO Tim Höttges said on the November 5, 2026 earnings call that SpaceX needs at least $200 billion to compete as a mobile carrier. He cited 76 MHz of SpaceX spectrum (licensed radio airwaves) against Deutsche Telekom's 400 MHz. He compared SpaceX's $20–30 billion tower build with Deutsche Telekom's 85,000 towers. Starlink Mobile remains an announced plan.
