US film and TV tax credit bill before Senate and House committees, no votes yet
The proposed MPTER Act, a film and TV tax credit, is before committees in the Senate and House. No votes have been taken. It would cover productions costing over $1 million with 75% of work in the U.S. Ken Ziffren, Los Angeles film czar, backed it in his annual address, arguing it would bring a surge in production jobs.
