Justice and Housing agencies declined to back move-on orders bill

The Ministries of Justice and Housing — the two agencies responsible for carrying out the bill — both declined to support it, RNZ reports. The proposed law would let police issue move-on orders for disorderly behaviour in public. It is before a select committee (a cross-party group of MPs who scrutinise proposed law) and public submissions are open.
