Vistra Hedges 94% of 2027 Power Output, Up From 70%

Vistra said in its Q2 2026 results, Aug. 7, that about 94% of expected 2027 generation is hedged, up from about 70% in Q3 2025. Its 2026 output is about 100% hedged. Hedges (contracts that fix sale prices) shield against weak ERCOT, Texas's grid operator, prices but cap gains if prices rise. Q3 2026 results: Nov. 6.
