Ontario weekend home began as a renovation and ended as a replacement of its 1930s farmhouse

Toronto architect Brian O'Brian has completed Hemlock House, a weekend home on a 72-acre (29-hectare) property in Markdale, Ontario, a province in eastern Canada. The owners first planned to renovate an old farmhouse. The plan became a full replacement of the small 1930s farmhouse. Dezeen reported on the building on 4 November 2026.
