Only 9% of Survey Respondents Accept AI in Museum Exhibitions

Only 9 percent of respondents to a 2026 American Alliance of Museums survey accept artificial intelligence (AI, software that generates text and images) in museum exhibitions. Acceptance rises away from galleries: 19 percent accept AI for brainstorming but not exhibition texts, and 29 percent have no reservations about AI-written emails from museum officials.
