Meta Settles K.D.B. Addiction Suit Before Los Angeles Trial, Leaving Snap as Sole Defendant

Meta has settled the K.D.B. social media addiction lawsuit just before it was due to go to trial in Los Angeles, lawyer Emily Jeffcott announced Friday. The 18-year-old Mississippi plaintiff alleged that social media caused serious mental health problems. Terms were not disclosed. Snap is now the sole remaining defendant, and CEO Evan Spiegel is expected to testify.
