Meta Settles K.D.B. Social Media Addiction Suit Before Los Angeles Trial, Leaving Snap as Sole Defendant

Meta settled the K.D.B. social media addiction lawsuit just before a Los Angeles trial, lawyer Emily Jeffcott announced Friday. The 18-year-old Mississippi plaintiff alleged that social media caused serious mental health problems. Terms were not disclosed. Snap is now the only remaining defendant, and CEO Evan Spiegel is expected to testify.
