Meta Ends Teen Social Media Lawsuit Before Trial, Leaving Snap Facing the Case

Meta has settled a lawsuit just before it was due in a Los Angeles courtroom, lawyer Emily Jeffcott announced Friday. The case was brought by K.D.B., an 18-year-old from Mississippi, who said social media caused serious mental health problems. Terms were not disclosed. Snap is the only company left in the case, and its CEO, Evan Spiegel, is expected to testify.
