Wyden and Markey Press Meta on Face Blurring and Smart Glasses Footage Access

Senators Ron Wyden and Edward Markey asked Meta whether its AI smart glasses blur faces and license plates, as Facebook and Instagram do. Their October 29, 2026 letter to Mark Zuckerberg also asks when captured imagery reaches employees, contractors or AI training datasets. It follows reports offshore contractors reviewed footage of users in intimate settings. Replies due by November 26.
