Democrats Ask DHS to Halt Force-Feeding of Hunger Strikers at Texas Detention Center

Seven congressional Democrats, led by Rep. Delia Ramirez, have asked the Department of Homeland Security to refrain from force-feeding detainees at the El Valle detention facility in Raymondville, Texas. Force-feeding means feeding someone by tube against their will. Hunger strikers there say they have been threatened with it. DHS said it responds to official correspondence through official channels.
