Spain's Interim Crash Report Gives Train Speed and Cites Signalling Failure

Spain's interim report on the 28 October Urda train crash, which killed 69 people, confirms the Ave high-speed train was travelling at 160 to 200 km/h when it hit a stationary train. It refers to a signalling failure, a fault in the train-control system, in the Urda area. Investigators had not yet spoken to some key witnesses.
