Gemini Opens File Editing to All Users, Web-Only for Most Formats

Google has extended Gemini's file generation, preview and editing to all users. Supported formats include PDFs, Google Docs, Sheets, slide decks, Markdown (lightweight markup), TXT and code. PDF preview and editing work on web and mobile; other formats edit only on the web. Users highlight a selection and request changes, such as converting a table into a chart.
