Think tank predicts £1,050 fall in household disposable incomes by 2028-29
The Resolution Foundation, a think tank, predicts typical disposable incomes, meaning what households have left after tax and benefits, will fall by £1,050 between October 2026 and the end of the parliament in 2028-29. It says this fall would limit the five-year rise to £600. The forecast follows John Healey's budget, which the group called "scattergun".
