Burnley have appointed Fabio Celestini as head coach, four days after sacking Nicky Hayen following a 4-1 defeat to Lincoln City. The 50-year-old, who led FC Basel to the 2024-25 Swiss league and cup double, takes over a side 22nd in the Championship, the second tier, having won once in the league this season.
