U.S. Colorectal Cancer Incidence Rises Again, Ending Two-Decade Decline
U.S. colorectal cancer incidence reversed a two-decade decline, rising from 36.7 to 38.3 per 100,000 between 2022 and 2023, according to a NEJM Evidence study led by Caitlin Murphy. Incidence had fallen from 55.2 per 100,000 in 2000. The increase appears in every age group up to 65 to 69 and persists when 2020 and 2021 data are excluded.
