Badenoch says Budget 'does not come close to meeting the moment'

Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative leader, said the Budget 'does not come close to meeting the moment'. Delivering the opposition's response in the House of Commons, she said it was not 'bold enough'. She accused Labour of leaving Britain 'overspent, overborrowed, overtaxed'. Chancellor John Healey was due to present the government's tax and spending plan that day.
