Brian Jones's 1962 letter inviting Charlie Watts to join the Rolling Stones goes to auction

Sotheby's is offering a handwritten July 1962 letter from Brian Jones to Charlie Watts, with its envelope, in its New York Rock & Pop Sale on 15 December. Sotheby's expects it to sell for US$70,000 to US$80,000. An estimate is an expected price range, not a guaranteed result. Watts joined the Rolling Stones in January 1963.
