Police Investigate Donation to Jenrick's Leadership Campaign

The Metropolitan Police are investigating a £37,500 donation to Robert Jenrick's 2024 Conservative leadership campaign, following an Electoral Commission referral in January 2025. The money is alleged to have come from US businessman Gary Klopfenstein via British firm Spott Fitness. Foreign donations are banned under electoral law. Jenrick, now a Reform MP, denies knowing Klopfenstein or receiving impermissible funds.
